PRARTHONPNISHAD (PRAYER)

Aum May my heart be as clear as the vault of heaven in the season of autumn and full of compassion like a vast, sacred lake of pilgrimage. My inner being be always vigilant (watchful) and wedded into vow of truth. My intellect be absorbed in Brahm, established in wisdom (discriminative), free from desires and be associated with judicious tendency. My mind be free from attachment and malice, above sloth (negligence-‘Pramad’), constantly engaged in chanting. May my vision may see myself in every living being, generous, inward looking and truth seeking. Let not, let not my ego retard advancement of my soul.

Aum May be speech be exclusively dedicated to truth and restrained, my conduct morally sound, my thoughts conveyor of divinity. My mind be burner of self-blemishes (moral defects), absorber (assimilator) of good qualities of others. Let my senses be elevating upwards. My ‘Pran’ be always and ever vibrate with desirable vibrations of spirituality. My body be free of body-consciousness and always engaged in good activities. In my speech, thought and conduct be there not, be their not, inconsistency (discordance).

Aum May my entire being be oriented towards the Supreme Being and full of transcendental devotion. My devotion be with intenset fervour (zeal) towards the lotus feet of my chosen deity yet without any illwill for other’s deity, unswerving (indifferentism), without desires (yet desirous of removing pains/aches of other living beings). The faith in the ‘Transcedent-Chidghan-Compassionate true nature of ‘Brahm’ be the supporting pillar of my reverential service (homage) to my chosen deity. May my character be ever and always pure. My consciousness be never, never influenced by ‘Maya’ (illusion) or be dependent on power of darkness.

Aum May my life be allied to morality, full of truthful-duties and spiritually aimed. May my penance be for continuous purification of my mind (chitt) and only be for the welfare of the universe. May my knowledge be unwavering and pure (clear). My charitable deeds be assets for self-realization. May my religious vows remain whole (intact). My deeds may never, never lead to degeneration of my soul.

Aum May my joy be innocent and completely pure (free from deformity). My relaxation be in doing deeds leading to ultimate goal and be benevolent to others. Only ‘Sat-Dharma be my religion. Divine, ‘true-prosperity’ be my wealth as dear to me as my very breath (pranpriya). May not, may not, anyone ever be harmed by me.

Aum Oh! Lord protect, Oh! Lord do protect all these harmless dumb creatures of nature from being slaughtered for tongue-tingling taste, cruelty-based medicinal research for diseases, irreligious practice of sacrificing living creatures for offering to deities or ‘kurbani’ carried out through ignorance and illusory concept of beauty by making people truly conscious of the day-and-night-terrible violence flicked upon animals all over the earth by resurging (reviving) the stream of compassion in their hearts.

Aum May I have the realization of my favoured God in the ‘Sat-Chit-Anand’ form through constant remembrance with right understanding of most purifying most benevolent incarnation of power of truth ‘Brahm Mantra’ AUM HRIM RAMA,JAYA RAMA, JAYA JAYA RAMA, the circumstances causing disaster over earth may completely be rid of and Age of Truth be established on earth, spirituality may be hailed again and again in all the three worlds, there may not exist, may ever not exist the devilry and demonic forces.

Aum May I always and ever be always and ever be exerting myself for obtaining the grace of Supreme Soul (‘Parmatma’) in order to get fulfilled in all respects the whole of this prayer.
